PREPARES THE PILOT FOR 24 HOURS
The pilot has an important role play in providing the information to the skipper about the state quarrying state of the place, so the navigation of the voyage can be carried out safely, orderly and smoothly so the safety of the voyage can be realized.
Starting from February 1, 2018, the first 16 pilot guides in Indonesia are prepared for working 24 hours a day at the PT Terminal Petikemas quay in Surabaya. The symbolic inauguration “potong tumpeng” was simply held on the first floor of administrative building of PT TPS on 1st February, 2017. Kartiko Adi The Technical Director accompanied by Rodrigo Sanchez The Operational Director of PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya was present to welcome the pilots in order to improve the service of the vessel as well as provide guidance on the regulations that must obeyed at the quay.

The pilots list is divided into two groups: group A and group B, where each group is on duty for 24 hours, morning from 08.00 until 08.00 on the next day. In case at the turn of the pilot, the pilot services is still ongoing then the service is still continued until the pilot services is completed with the maximum of hours until 12.00 WIB on the next day.
